SAfRI works closely with local health care providers and government to strengthen the research capacity and promote inspiring models of clinical practice. Research and innovations are ever evolving, and so is our duty to serve you with cutting edge services. we’ve been pivotal in transforming the lives of mothers and their newborns in rural Uganda through research, innovations, technologies and promoting inspiring models of evidence based clinical practice in maternity care. For instance, we have established an early pregnancy unit at Mbale regional referral hospital, developed researches in maternal and neonatal sepsis, postpartum hemorrhage, eclampsia in Uganda, initiated and strengthened collaborations with local, national and international organisations. Furthermore, we have successfully developed the BabySaver neonatal resuscitation kit for helping babies breathe at birth, which is currently being tested.
